An established and family owned IFA require a Team Manager to join their supportive and established staff team, providing support to carers and the Registered Manager across their South West (Somerset / Devon) South Central (Oxfordshire / Bucks / Wiltshire)..
This role is fully home based, but you will live within commuting distance / be prepared to travel to the regions above.
You will be supporting a small staff team of 5 x SSWs
You will be / have:
- A qualified social worker
- SWE registered
- Current / recent experience within the fostering sector
- Excellent knowledge of fostering legislation, policies and procedures
- Have creativity, drive and ambition around growing and nurturing a fostering service
- Previous staff support / supervisory experience
- A car owner / driver
Brief over view of role / responsibilities:
- To play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in service delivery and development
- Managing a team of experienced social work practitioners and support workers
- Ensuring that legislative, regulatory, national minimum standards and requirements are met
- To work closely with other colleagues and fulfil specific responsibilities in relation to foster carer recruitment and assessment, referrals and placements
- To maintain foster carer learning and development
- To contribute to the strategic development and successful expansion of the agency, through building links with Local Authorities
