A small, established and not for profit and growing IFA require a Team Manager to join their team, supporting staff and carers covering Gloucestershire and surrounds. This role is supporting a small team of 2/ 3 social workers and 2 family support workers.
This IFA has a therapeutic model and ethos and is supported by a knowledgeable psychotherapist.
You will work within a highly ethical fostering organisation that provide support and training to ensure the service to children and young people is safe. Young people receive good quality child focused care and the service is well managed with experienced and qualified staff. You will be joining a team who are honest, ethical and where children’s care and development is genuinely put first.
Overview of responsibilities:
- To play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in service delivery and development
- Managing a small team of experienced social work practitioners and support workers
- Ensuring that legislative, regulatory, national minimum standards and company requirements are met
- To work closely with other colleagues and fulfil specific responsibilities in relation to foster carer recruitment
- To maintain foster carer land staff learning and development and therapeutic practice
(Please note an interest and experience in one of the two areas above would be an advantage)
You will be / have:
- A social work qualification
- SWE registration
- Post qualified social work experience within the fostering sector
- Staff supervisory experience
- Good understanding and knowledge of fostering standards and regulations
- Full current driving license and be prepared to travel as required
Salary is to £49,950 + c.£2.6k Out of Hours payments, dependant on rotas
