A small and growing fostering provider (IFA) are looking for a home based Supervising Social Worker to join their team.

There is currently a small case load across West Yorkshire and Lancashire, with a requirement to slowly grow the carer base across West Yorkshire primarily, hence there will be a need to carry out Form F assessments. Ability to speak Urdu would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

Overview of role and responsibilities:

• To provide support and supervision to foster carers – v low case load
• To work closely with any agencies and all staff to match children to families
• To provide training to foster carers as per the needs assessed in a reactive and proactive manner
• To attend and produce reports for fostering panel meetings as necessary.
• To carry out an annual review of Foster families
• To support and attend a foster carer support group as needed.
• To contribute to the development of the fostering service
• Be willing to work flexibly including evening and weekend work, when required, within the duty rota system or in emergencies.

You will be / have:

• A qualified social worker

• SWE registration
• Some experience across fostering social work
• A willingness to carry out Form F assessments
• A car owner / driver

Some flexible working may be needed in order to attend emergencies or to participate in the duty rota

Salary is to £37,000 + £2,000 car allowance + mileage

This is a lovely small agency where carer caseloads are low and support comes from a highly experienced manager.
