A child focused and therapeutic not for profit fostering agency are looking to recruit a Supervising Social Worker to join their team, supporting carers around the Leicester / Derby regions, hence you will live within commuting distance of here.
Their child centred approach to delivering a fostering service for over 10 years now has helped them to maintain the core values of a family run not-for-profit making fostering service. Their vision and passion is to provide children and young people in foster care with safety, stability and hope; the relentless pursuit of this vision and passion through their committed foster carers and their families and hardworking staff helps them remain a child/young person centred fostering service with a family feel.
With low caseloads of 8-10, their focus is spending quality time with their carers, offering support, supervision and training to maintain stable placements for the young people in their care. Their support is informed by therapeutic parenting approaches.
You will be / have:
- A qualified social worker
- SWE registered
- Prior experience of working in Children’s Services
- Prior experience of working as a Supervising Social Worker (ideal not essential)
- Be looking for a role with a therapeutic approach / therapeutic social work experience would be an advantage but not essential
- A car owner / driver
- Be prepared to travel across the East Midlands region

Salary is to £36,000 (a higher salary may be considered for an experienced applicant, please enquire) + 45ppm + OOH allowance. Other benefits include private healthcare, paid sick leave, strong contributory pension scheme and 25 days leave per year + bank holidays.
