A highly ethical, child centred and not for profit fostering agency are looking for a Senior / Supervising Social Worker to support a very low case load, with focus primarily on carer recruitment: initial enquires through to assessments.

Brief over view of responsibilities:

• Supporting a small carers caseload across the Gloucestershire region
• Supervision of carers
• Carer reviews
• Recruitment and assessment of prospective foster carers
• Carer training
• Participation in the OOH telephone rota

You will be:

• A qualified social worker
• SWE registered
• Post qualifying experience of working within children’s services / fieldwork
• Experience of working within fostering social work / an IFA (ideal not essential)
• An interest in / experience across parent and child fostering would be an advantage
• A car owner / driver
• Be prepared to travel across the region

The role attracts a salary to £41,800 + 5% pension contribution and other benefits including OOH payments.

Newly qualified social workers (with fostering placement experience) will considered as this IFA can offer support in the ASYE program.
