Senior Supervising Social Worker

To £41,777 FTE + car allowance + 10% pension

A highly ethical and child focused fostering charity are looking for a home based Senior Supervising Social Worker to support a small but stable carer group across the Bristol and Gloucester regions

 

This role is part time for 4 days / week (30 hours)

 

 

The successful Supervising Social Worker candidate will be involved in assessing (occasional), supervising and supporting Foster Carers to support the agency in maintaining their quality fostering service for looked after children. The role involves travel to the homes of foster carers as required (which will sometimes involve travelling distances), leading occasional projects, running and delivering training and support groups, and taking part in an ‘out of hours’ duty system (3 times a year).

Overview of responsibilities of the Supervising Social Worker:

 

  • Supporting a manageable carer caseload
  • Supervision of carers
  • Carer reviews
  • Recruitment of prospective foster carers
  • Completion of the occasional Form F with presentation to panel

 

You will be / have:

 

  • A qualified social worker
  • SWE registered
  • Post qualifying experience within fostering social work, either from a Local Authority or the independent sector as a Supervising Social Worker (essential)
  • Ideally additional front line / safeguarding social work experience
  • Highly child and outcome focused
  • A car owner / driver
  • Be prepared to travel across the region

The salary is between, £31,707.20 – £33,421.60 per annum (£39,634.00 – £41,777.00 FTE) (dependent on experience)
