A leading therapeutic IFA with an excellent reputation is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Thames Valley based team.

As Senior Practitioner, you will initially carry a very small carer case load and be prepared to carry out service development work. You will also be responsible for supporting a small social work staff team.

Initially a hybrid role, combining both practice and management responsibility, this is an excellent career opportunity with the potential to grow to a full team manager role as the region develops.

The post holder will in addition ensure that Safeguarding is the primary focus of the service delivery with an ambition of improve outcomes for all looked after children within the service.

You will be / have:

• A qualified Social Worker
• SWE registration
• Prior experience of working directly within a fostering team / IFA
• Knowledge of the fostering recruitment / assessment process
• A confident decision maker
• An excellent communicator with the ability to form strong working relationships both internally and externally
• Previous staff support / supervisory experience
• A car driver and be prepared to travel across the region

The salary is to £42,000 + car allowance + with excellent benefits.

Please note that there is no on call requirement with this role.
