Fostering Recruitment Manager

A child focused and ethical IFA are looking for a Fostering Recruitment Manager to lead and develop the recruitment and assessment of foster cares their not for profit, highly child focused service. You will effectively be managing the recruitment of skilled, suitable foster carers across the agency to meet the needs of delivering an excellent service to children and young people.

 

Please note that is a maternity leave contact on a fixed term basis until 31st July 2025 (there may be the opportunity for extension)

 

A key responsibility of this role to implement consistently high standards across a newly formed team and ensure that new processes are effectively embedded to give potential foster carers a first class service from initial enquiry through to approval.

 

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the recruitment activity across the IFA. Maintaining the agency’s high standards in the recruitment of Foster Carers, they will supervise ttwo Recruitment Officers and work closely with colleagues in Marketing to meet recruitment targets within set financial budgets. In addition, the post holder will recruit, supervise and manage a team of independent social workers to undertake initial visits and fostering assessments.

 

Working as an integral member of the management team, you will have a sound knowledge of current fostering legislation, including regulations, guidance and standards, and will work to promote our ethical not for profit status. An understanding of the role of Independent Fostering Providers and previous experience of managing the recruitment of Foster Carers is essential.

 

You will be / have:

 

  • A social work qualification
  • SWE registration
  • Significant post qualified social work experience within the fostering sector
  • Staff supervisory/management experience
  • Good understanding and knowledge of fostering standards and regulations
  • Prior experience of the foster carer recruitment and assessment process
  • Full current driving license and own vehicle

This is a hybrid working role, with travel to a local office required for one day / week
