Fostering Practice Manager

An established IFA with a therapeutic model and focus, require a Practice / Team Manager to join their supportive and established staff team, providing support to a small service across the West Midlands.

 

Having been established for over twenty years, this IFA is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, is family owned and possesses a strong focus on delivering a quality and outcomes focused service; they have seen deliberately steady growth with quality being a clear focus over quantity.

 

They work from an established therapeutic model, with integration across their fostering, residential, clinical and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people in their care.

 

The responsibilities of the role will be to support the Registered Manager and provide additional support to a small social work team, whilst continuing the development of the mainstream Fostering Service. You will be responsible for the development of new initiatives including step up/step down provisions, as well as the QA of fostering reviews and panel membership.

 

This role offers some home working with some travel required between their West Midlands and Lancashire offices

 

You will be / have:

 

  • A qualified social worker
  • SWE registered
  • Strong ‘hands on’ experience within the fostering sector
  • Excellent knowledge of fostering legislation, policies and procedures
  • Good QA skills
  • Previous staff management / supervisory experience
  • A car owner / driver
  • Be prepared to travel across the West Midlands regions

Salary is £45,000 + £3,600 car allowance (there may be some negotiation on salary for an experienced applicant, please enquire)
