An established IFA require a Deputy Placements Team Manager to join their supportive and established staff team, providing support to fostering services across the South West and surrounding regions.
This is a hybrid working role – you will be prepared to travel to their Bristol office three times / week.
Overview of role / responsibilities:
- To provide support to the Placements Team Manager in terms of development priorities. staff supervisory responsibilities and Local Authority engagement.
- To co-ordinate, oversee and manage the processing of foster carer referrals for the Placements Team and the appropriate safe matching of referred children to available Foster Carers.
- To support team members to ensure that the matching and placement workflow process is followed by all Placement team members, including the completion of all documentation both internal and legislative.
- To motivate and support team members to identify, communicate, discuss and progress potential placement links as a key priority.
- Oversee and implement contractual negotiations with Local Authorities, undertaking consultations in respect of potential change of placement category where applicable.
- To ensure that the matching and placement process remains safe and always adheres to Ofsted regulatory requirements.
- To contribute to the support of Foster Carers in assessment and those newly approved, ensuring that their information remains updated and is marketed to our Local Authority partners and an early induction is undertaken
- Work cohesively as part of the overall wider team for the development and increase of safe matching and placement opportunities
You will be / have:
- Prior experience of working within fostering / a fostering placements team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Confident in liaising with commissioning Local Authorities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Prepared to travel to Bristol 2/3 days / week
Salary is £40,000 + benefits, including BUPA and a strong contributory pension scheme. Salary and benefits may be negotiable for an experienced applicant – please enquire.
