Deputy Manager – Adoption

A small, established and growing voluntary adoption agency are looking for a Deputy Team Manager to join their supportive team.


Covering the Southwest regions, the post offers flexible hybrid working and covers Bristol, Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bath and Swindon.


This role is part time for 30 hours / week and offer flexible working across these hours and days.


The purpose of this new role is to be an integral member of the growing adoption service. Managing social workers who work from recruitment through to adoption support, whilst also potentially holding a small caseload in the short term. You will ideally have had some experience in supervising staff/students, supporting staff development, and enabling them to achieve the best outcomes for adopted children. The post-holder will be supervised by the Head of Adoption and work closely with the Post Adoption Support Manager.


You will be / have:
  • SWE registered
  • Staff supervisory / management experience
  • 3 years post qualifying experience working across adoption and / or fostering
  • Strong assessment experience across the above
  • Be prepared to travel to the Bristol office on a hybrid working basis


Salary is to £45,000 FTE


This role is initially for an 18 month fixed term contract with the likely view that the role will become permanent as the service expands.
